Voter Registration Information for August 4, 2020 Election

Anyone who qualifies as an elector must register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the City of Rochester Clerk’s Office, located at 400 Sixth Street, Rochester, MI 48307 at the following times:

  • Regular business hours:  Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 1, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Election Day, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Rochester will be voting on:

  • Representative in Congress – 8th District
  • LEGISLATIVE:
  • Representative in State Legislature – 45th District
  • COUNTY:

  • Clerk and Register of Deeds
  • Treasurer
  • Water Resources Commissioner
  • County Commissioner – 15th District
  • DELEGATE:
  • Delegate to County Convention
  • JUDICIAL:
  • Judge of Circuit Court – 6th Circuit – Non-Incumbent position
  • PROPOSAL: 
  • Operating Millage for Older Persons’ Commission – Shall the City of Rochester renew and continue to levy 0.2337 mills ($.2337 per $1,000) (reduced by the Headlee Amendment from the original of 0.25 mills) and also levy an additional 0.09 mills ($.09 per $1,000) for a total of $.32 mills ($0.32 per $1,000) for ten (10) years, 2020 through 2029 inclusive, on the taxable value of all property assessed for taxes in the City to fund activities and services for older persons and operation, equipping and maintenance of an older person activities center?  If approved and levied in full, this will provide an estimated revenue of $223,500 in the first year.     YES___  NO___
